Thank You! – Conclusions on Webinar

Friday, February 14 2014

Our Webinar “Fuel poverty and energy savings consultation for private households – Lessons learnt around Europe” on Feb 11th 2014 was attended by ca. 50 participants from all across Europe and from varying organisations and backgrounds.

The online-event has been recorded and can be watched here.

Major content and target of the webinar was to show and share information about the current activities on European level towards the rising problem of fuel poverty. Reports on IEE-funded projects like e.g. EC-LINC or its sister-project ACHIEVE gave hints on practical ways to tackle fuel poverty. A look on EU-policy and the acitivities and approach of the Vulnerable Consumer Working Group in Brussels offered a possibility to think out of the box.

After a short introduction to the topic itself from EC-LINC’s coordinator Eva Marx (Berlin Energy Agency) Christophe Coudun , Project Officer (EASME – Executive Agency for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises, European Commission, Brussels) gave a presentation on the results and lessons learnt from European projects funded in the Intelligent Energy Europe (IEE) programme that were or are tackling fuel poverty.

Furthermore, the EC-LINC consortium, represented by Stuart Hay (Changeworks), Etienne Rubens (KOMOSIE) and Eva Marx, gave a thorough insight into the project’s activities and its results.

The webinar has been topped of by Lara Blake’s (Policy Officer at DG Energy and organiser of the Vulnerable Consumer Working Group and the Citizens’ Energy Forum) presentation on the activities of the Vulnerable Consumer Working Group and the reaction in European policy to face fuel poverty.

EC-LINC says thank you – to all who have been involved in the planning, organisation and realisation of this webinar and to all participants!
